The Pit of 100 Trials
60 floors of escalating difficulty. Safe rooms every 10 floors. Currently the deepest challenge in Block Tales Demo 5.
📍 Overview
The Pit of 100 Trials is an optional post-game dungeon located beneath Bizville. Currently 60 floors deep (expanding to 100 in future updates), it serves as Block Tales' ultimate endurance test. Enemies from every chapter appear in escalating difficulty, and every 10th floor features a safe room with a bed, a free card, and a teleport back to the surface.
🔑 How to Enter The Pit
Get Shrinking Card
Find the Shrinking card in Blackrock Castle. It is required to access the narrow tunnel entrance.
Go Below Bizville
Travel to Bizville and find the tunnel behind the library. It leads to the sewer entrance.
Use Shrinking
Activate the Shrinking card to fit through the tunnel. Without it, you cannot proceed.
Begin Descending
Start at Floor 0 (Surface). Use the bed to set your spawn point, then descend into Floor 1.

🛏️ Safe Room Rewards (Every 10 Floors)
Every 10th floor is a safe room with a Bed (heal and save progress), a free card, and a Teleport back to the surface.
Heals poison and 10 HP. Essential for long runs.
Required to enter The Pit. Also useful for dodging large enemy attacks.
Piercing Ice attack. Ignores 5 defense.
Freezes an enemy for 2 turns. Great for controlling dangerous groups.
Heals 25 HP and removes 1 random debuff.
Lightning bolt. Always hits. 15% paralysis chance.
Summons Calypso for AoE piercing damage. End of current content reward.
⚔️ Boss Encounter: Azuri (Floor 59)
Azuri appears on Floor 59 as the final challenge before the Floor 60 safe room. She is the same Korbloxian mage encountered in Trinity Castle, but with scaled-up stats for the Pit environment. She uses teleportation mechanics and arcane orb attacks that track players.
- •HP: 200 | Difficulty: Hard | Phases: 2
- •Weakness: Lightning (interrupts teleport channels), Order cards (blocks arcane casting)
- •Attack: Teleport → Thunder Strike to cancel, Arcane Orbs → AoE to destroy
🃏 Best Cards for Pit Runs
AoE Ice attack. Hits all enemies. Essential for multi-enemy floors.
Massive Fire AoE. Clears dangerous groups in one turn.
Party-wide healing. Sustain through 60 floors without dying.
Reliable damage that always hits. Counters teleporting enemies.
Community favorite. Overpowered stat spread makes Pit runs significantly easier.
Cures poison from Floor 40+ enemies. Lightweight at 2 BP.
Blocks 2 attacks. Save for floor bosses and high-damage turns.
Free at Floor 0. Keep it equipped for incidental healing between floors.
💡 Pro Tips
- 1.Always sleep at safe rooms. The bed heals you fully and saves your progress. If you die, you respawn at the last bed you slept in — not the surface.
- 2.Run AoE cards primarily. Most Pit floors have 2-3 enemies. Single-target cards waste BP. Blizzard and Inferno clear groups efficiently.
- 3.Save Thunder Strike for Floor 59. Azuri's teleporting makes her hard to hit. Thunder Strike cancels her teleport channel and always hits.
- 4.Bring 45+ BP. The deeper floors drain your resources. Budget at least 5 BP per floor. Save 8+ BP for each boss encounter.
- 5.Antidote is non-negotiable beyond Floor 40. Chapter 4+ enemies apply poison. Cure poison immediately or it stacks and kills your sustain.
- 6.Use R-80 if you have it. The community considers R-80 overpowered for Pit runs. Its stat spread trivializes most encounters through Floor 40.
