Check your roles before retrying
A boss attempt usually fails faster when every card solves the same job. Cover recovery, protection, damage, and setup before you decide the deck is ready.
Start this Temple Guardian prep by checking survival, SP room, damage plan, and whether your cards fit the fight before spending more attempts.

Block Tales boss advice can change after updates or fresh player runs. If a guide conflicts with the live fight, trust what happens in-game and adjust the build.
Open the build maker when you know what keeps ending the run. A usable plan shows BP left, SP pressure, survival coverage, and cards to try next.
Temple Guardian is the Chapter 4 final boss and one of the few fights where the player is locked into a specific ally: Calypso. You cannot call a different summon, so do not plan around a Call: Monkey or Call: Kyoko drop — Calypso is your only party member, and she goes down hard if you do not peel for her.
The Guardian's head is invulnerable until both the Left Hand and Right Hand are cleared. Focus fire the hands before switching to the head, because the hands respawn slower than you would expect and the head only takes real damage after the second hand is down. Pure sword spam on the head wastes a full phase.
Temple Guardian opens its mouth, charges an orange ball, then fires a wide laser that hits every party member. The tell is short but readable — once the mouth opens, switch to defense for that turn or layer a shield card. Two lasers in a row will down Calypso on Hard mode.
A reliable Temple Guardian run uses a shield card (to absorb the laser windows), one peel or self-heal card (to keep Calypso alive through the second wind), and a long-sustain damage shell (the fight has multiple Hand phases plus the head). Use the build maker to confirm BP, SP, and protection before entering the temple.

Start with a balanced build, keep recovery available, avoid spending all SP early, and use cards that fit the exact fight instead of only chasing raw damage.
